Fully immersed in Maremma’s spellbinding landscapes and unspoiled natural environment, the villa is surrounded by extensive private grounds and rises right on the soft sand of Bolgheri’s golden beach.

The exquisite one floor stone villa, rises within the property’s extensive fenced grounds, 4.7 hectares of unspoiled vegetation, including pine tree woods and the typical balmy bushes of the Mediterranean maquis.

Periodically and lovingly restored to maintain the elegant 1960s architecture, tastefully furbished and decorated by the owner, boasts fine, smooth teak floors and typically Tuscan wood-beamed ceilings.

Accommodating up to 10 guests, La Spugna provides relaxed leisurely days and undisturbed nights full of sweet dreams. The property features 5 elegant double bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms are comfortable, tastefully furnished in the local style, and feature all necessary modern appliances.

The villa’s communal areas are welcoming, airy and spacious, including a fine living room with fireplace, perfect for relaxing or entertaining, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room, fabulous for delicious meals; the villa also includes a convenient laundry room and an outdoor storage room for beach equipment.

La Spugna offers countless memorable moments outdoors, enjoying the uniquely peaceful atmosphere provided by the lovely 4.7 hectar park and a long sandy beach. The grounds, wholly fenced, include gracefully swaying pine trees and many different plants and shrubs, typical of the Mediterranean maquis. The Bolgheri beach is splendid and never crowded, in this part. Guests of the villa may delight in taking long walks, swimming and building sandcastles!. Al-fresco dining is superb in the shaded area right on the beach in front of the villa.

Exquisitely located in the very heart of Upper Maremma, land of the Supertuscans, a short drive from Castagneto Carducci and Marina di Donoratico, the estate also provides a perfect starting point for sightseeing and enjoying Maremma’s many attractions.

Discover the surroundings, a veritable treasure chest filled with awe-inspiring ancient villages, sprawling vineyards and award-winning wineries. Populonia’s amazing Etruscan ruins are just 30 minutes from the villa by car. There are many famed historic art cities (such as Pisa, Volterra, Siena and Florence too) which can be reached in a 50 minutes to 2 hours drive along scenic and pleasant routes.
