The villa comfortably hosts up to 12 guests in its charming guestrooms, 1 on the ground floor and 5 on the second floor, as well as additional accommodation, suitable for children or teens if required, in another bedroom and several sofa beds. The six guestrooms all boast warm period cotto floors and fine furnishings in style with the architecture and location and have en-suite bathrooms. 3 of these are double rooms, 1 located on the ground floor and 2 on the second floor. The other 2 are spacious suites, each comprising a comfortable sitting room in addition to the bedroom and bathroom.

The villa offers, in total, additional accommodation suitable for up to 7 children or teenagers.

The suites’ sitting rooms both feature a sofa bed; one the suites’ sofa beds may accommodate 1 child, the other 2. Other 2 children or teens may use the 1 double bedroom on the first floor, which has its own private bathroom but no shower or tub. Other 2 children/teens may be accommodated in the sofa bed in one of the first floor sitting rooms (may share bathroom with double bedroom on same floor).

The villa provides a number of common rooms ideal for dining, entertaining, reading or otherwise relaxing. A lovely internal courtyard and charming private chapel, typical of the villa’s architectural style, add charm and grace to the ground floor. The same floor hosts 1 of the double bedrooms, with an adjacent bathroom, an ample fully equipped kitchen and a cozy sitting room with TV. Two different, extremely picturesque, dining rooms, one rising in the villa’s ancient stables, the other in the former kitchen, set the scene for unforgettable luncheons and dinners. The ground floor also includes a convenient guest bathroom (no bathtub or shower) and a storage/laundry room.

The first floor comprises one double bedroom and an adjacent half-bathroom (no bathtub or shower) and most of the entertaining and relaxing common rooms. There are two ample living rooms, the Red room and frescoed Hunting room, and three welcoming sitting rooms, 1 of which has a sofa-bed accommodating 2 children/teens.  The sitting rooms all offer direct access onto the gardens. The second floor hosts yet another living room, called the music room in honor of the owners’ ancestor, as well as the 5 above described bedrooms, 2 suites and 3 double bedrooms.

The villa is surrounded by a splendid park which includes century old trees, luxuriant lawns and a perfectly groomed Italian garden. The park includes a gleaming swimming pool; encased in a splendid frame of typical “pietra serena”, the pool offers shading gazebos, sun-beds and deck chairs and lovely views onto the peaceful countryside.

Il Salicone rises in a splendid position, nestled among the property’s cultivated fields, olive groves and rich vineyards. Its location offers an ideal starting point for exploring Tuscany’s many marvels. Exquisite art-filled Pistoia – with its delicious restaurants, tempting cafès and elegant boutiques - is just a 10 minute drive from the villa, and Montecatini Alto’s picturesque town center and stupendous views can be reached in just 15 minutes. Located at just 40 minutes from downtown Florence, Villa Il Salicone is perfect for art and culture focused vacations, as for those focused on relaxation and well-being: not only is it immersed in the serene countryside, it is just 15 minutes away from Montecatini Terme and Grotta Giusti, two of Europe’s most celebrated and splendid Spas!  As per art and culture, Pisa may be reached in about 50 minutes, while Siena is at a pleasant 1 hour and 15 minute drive away.
