Dimora Renaissance Estate is composed by a 14th Century Hamlet and a farm that produces excellent quality IGP olive oil. It is ideally situated few kilometers south of Florence right next to the heart of Chianti’s countryside where you can experience the relaxing atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside, as well as the truly historical city of Florence.
During the XV century, the hamlet was owned by the Ghirlandaios: the most well-known Renaissance family of painters in whose workshop many apprentices, including Michelangelo, learned the fine art of painting. Being their summer residence, the hamlet was not only a place to reunite the family and to relax but it was also a location to entertain relations with the most prominent artists of the Renaissance such as Raffaello, Pontormo and Botticelli. Within its walls Dimora Renaissance has a Chapel frescoed by Ridolfo Ghirlandaio. Our Guests can enjoy a breathtaking view of Florence and its Cathedral from many rooms and gardens.
Surrounded by the famous rolling green hills lined with cypresses and embraced by 30 acres of vineyards, olive groves, forest and a lake, Dimora Renaissance, with its magnificent position overlooking Florence, is a true postcard image of Tuscany.
