Description

Villa Bibbiani is a hidden gem nestled in the Montalbano hills with 1300 years of history. The land of Chianti boasts a unique biodiversity, expressed in its vibrant colors and intoxicating scents. Restored in 2018 to surpass its original splendor, the grounds are situated among vineyards and olive groves covering 320 lush hectares of iconic Tuscan landscape.

The villa interiors are lined with magnificent frescoes and fine period furnishings that marry Old World styling with Modern Day luxury. Enjoy the decadent comfort of this previously off limits, exclusive Italian getaway.

The history

Villa Bibbiani was constructed in the mid 1700’s by the noble Frescobaldi family. Later, a prominent politician from a neighboring city, Marquis Cosimo Ridolfi married into the Frescobaldi family and assumed a prominent role at the villa. Cosimo Ridolfi, known as the father of modern Italian agriculture, curated and planted stunning botanical gardens containing more than 3,000 unique and exotic species of plants and trees.

Events

Villa Bibbiani offers a stunning backdrop for world-class, private and fully customizable events. Our staff and consultants will assist your team in creating the ambience and flow of your unforgettable exclusive event. Surrounded by history, enveloped in modern hospitality, your guests will enjoy true luxury and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Villa Bibbiani is the perfect setting for your dream event, down to the finest detail; a wedding, birthday party, anniversary, or any truly special occasion.

The chapel

The chapel is one of few consecrated private chapels in Italy and is original to the Villa. Consecrated by Pope Clemente XII, the chapel has been restored to its original splendor and the last Marquesa Frescobaldi is entombed herein.

Sacred art

The intimate chapel space makes a distinct impression with its exquisite detail and majestic, sacred Italian art. The masterful finishings and stately stained glass give the chapel a rich, hallowed glow.

The botanical park

Villa Bibbiani park is a botanical treasure designed by Marquis Cosimo Ridolfi who, in the mid-nineteenth century, also initiated the estate’s winemaking. You can still admire these lush Italian gardens, edged by grassy meadows and forest that boast countless age-old and exotic species transplanted from around the world.

The winery

Villa Bibbiani’s winery is housed in the ancient basement of Cosimo Ridolfi. In 1800, it was considered a state of the art structure with running water and was equipped with a heating system that allowed temperature control during the winemaking.

Currently the wineries have been renovated and equipped with innovative systems that allow the most up-to-date winemaking techniques, preserving the tradition. The use of the force of gravity between different levels, from the arrival of the grapes in the cellar to the placement in the barrel, is for us today, as in the past, the best solution to move the wine. The research and study of new solutions to obtain wines of the highest quality have always permeated the walls of this winery. Innovate our tradition.

Five-star service

Villa Bibbiani offers world-class, 5-Star service; to include transportation, private chef, full kitchen, housekeeping, beauty services, waiter, butler, and security. Our top priority is your comfort.

The theater

Enjoy an inimitable experience inside the theater. You can host or attend a show or a private concert. Let yourself and your guests be delighted by the art and beauty of this enchanting space. The possibilities for a private stay or a major event are endless, and each is accompanied by majestic art and Renaissance paintings that surround your guests in a classic Italian atmosphere.
