Podere Maremma marks the beginning of a new era for very high-end hospitality, reshaping the concept of exclusivity. Through a contemporary perception of comfort, towering spaces drawn from a fascinating past and the blissfulness of the remains of a medieval priory, culturally sophisticated travellers will enjoy Tuscany in an eco-friendly luxury estate where heritage, contemporary art and Italian craft come together.
Commanding the coastline of the Argentario peninsula and the unspoiled hills of the Tuscan Maremma, Podere Maremma is a place where the impossible has been made available, a cocoon of low-impact pleasure, a wonder born on the ruins of an ancient monastery, preserved to combine its sacred past with pristine nature.
Podere Maremma represents the perfect synthesis between the absolute beauty of Tuscan nature and the unrivalled charm of an ancient stone walled castle. At its heart has been the conservation and restoration of the historical structures and the choice to rebuild with old material, respecting nature and the environment. The stones are all locally quarried. Stone, iron and wood are worked inside the estate by Italian artisans and craft-masters.
For centuries cloistered nuns, looking for a respite from the world and a special place to feel closer to God, have lived and prayed on the hill where Podere Maremma has been re built. The sacredness and the blissfulness of the site can still be felt today. Time seems to come to a stop, allowing guests to truly rest, rebalance, recharge and experience the genuine local way of life, taste exceptional wines, meditate, swim, walk, horseback ride and discover unspoiled Medieval villages, woods and beaches.
A castle conceived on the remains of a Twelfth Century monastery, scrupulously restored and made timeless thank to the passion of its owners and the work of expert artisans that during a decade have handcrafted almost every single element. Podere Maremma boasts the cooperation with some of the most famous contemporary artists in the world: from the sculptures of Matteo Pugliese and Matteo Lucca and the graffiti of Pixel Pancho, to the monumental art of Gustavo Aceves.
It is impossible is to truly convey Podere Maremma sense of peace and bliss. One can only travel with the imagination back in time to see the medieval nuns living in harmony with nature and its rhythms on its hill surrounded by forests and fronting the sea. Podere Maremma is a privileged accommodation with zero impact on the environment. Through the use of Roman construction techniques the consumption of water and energy have been minimized and the heating and cooling of floors and walls made more efficient working with nature itself. Vineyards and olive groves all around the estate, orchards and vegetable gardens within and outside the stonewall provide daily the freshest food. At Podere Maremma guests experience a simple healthy and peaceful life, long forgotten.

Tuscany, Italy most famous region, conceals a secret called Maremma. With a fascinating history that dates back to the Etruscans, a magical land made up of a stretch of pristine hills and countryside expanding to reach long sandy beaches, breath taking rocks and a sea renowned for its blue colors and clarity. All around Podere Maremma, the feeling of Dolce Vita still resounds in the medieval villages of Magliano, Talamone, Pereta, Capalbio, Pitigliano, looking enchanted with their stonewalled castles and towers perched on hills. True to their peasant roots, every villager knows everyone and peace, laughter, delicious homemade food and great wines are king. Monte Argentario on one side and Parco della Maremma on the other constitute a unique microcosm, a natural reserve where to encounter porcupines, foxes, deer, bulls and the typical Maremman cows, white with robust lyreshaped horns. In the lagoon of Orbetello rare birds, including pink flamingos, nest. In the enchanting natural baths of Saturnia, five hundred liters of thermal water flow every second from three thousand years, too special not to take advantage of it. On a day boat trip to enjoy the seven Islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, that stand out on the horizon in front of the estate: Elba, Giglio, Giannutri, Capraia, Pianosa, Montecristo and Gorgona. Another magical place, both because of the beauty of its ruins and the legends that shroud it in mystery, is Saint Bruzio Monastery. Built in the eleventh century with travertine quarried from the property, San Bruzio has been connected to Podere Maremma mystically with the convent and physically through a stone road, parts of which were preserved and are still visible today on the land of the estate. For art enthusiasts: il Giardino dei Tarocchi, a monumental esoteric sculpture park inspired by Tarot cards, created by French artist Niki de Saint Phalle. For outdoor sport lovers: the exclusive Argentario Golf Club, the kite and windsurfing heaven of Talamone Bay, hiking, biking or horseback riding on the beaches and in the forests surrounding the property.
