Elements of classic Italian residential architecture, such as interconnecting multiple areas for entertainment on ground floor and bedrooms on first floor, are combined with contemporary elements, like a red-clay tennis court and airconditioning. Aesthetically, the house recalls traditional typologies as well as traditional materials
including wood and stone locally sourced.
A contemporary influence, however, was the decision to include Asian-sourced furnishing from the owner’s travels, including Chinese precious wardrobes in the master bedroom. Luxurious, yet very comfortable, this is an inspirational retreat full of colour and a welcoming vibe, blending traditional and modern European architecture.
